Here is some things you should know about the ranks and names in order to make your character. Scroll way down to see the ranks of cats that aren't in Clans.
Here are the ranks and names for the cats that are in a Clan (I found it on a different site)
Leader:
The leader takes care of the Clan and makes most of the decisions. Their name ends in "star" and they have nine lives. The first part of their name can be any nature-related thing. The leader must be very active.
Deputy:
The deputy is like a second-in-command and also gives out orders. They are in charge of the camp while the leader is away and will succeed the leader after they have died. They have a regular warrior name. The deputy must be very active.
Medicine Cat:
The medicine cat heals the clan with different herbs and techniques. They share a special connection with StarClan and they receive prophecies. They train an apprentice as they get older. They have a regular warrior name.
Medicine Cat Apprentice:
The medicine cat apprentice learns about the herbs from the medicine cat and will succeed the medicine cat after they have died. They have an apprentice name--their name ends in "paw".
Warrior:
The mass majority of the clan is made up of warriors. Warriors protect the clan by keeping the territory scent marked and by hunting for the whole clan, they sometimes train apprentices. They have a regular warrior name. A regular warrior name is a combination of two nature-type things put together. Some examples of warrior names are: Blueclaw, Thornclaw, Mistyfoot, etc.
Apprentice:
Apprentices are younger cats in training to become warriors. They are taught by a warrior known as their mentor and are made into warriors around the age of six moons. They names end in "paw" with the start of their names as a nature-type thing.
Queen:
A queen is a warrior expecting or nursing kits. After their kits become apprentices they go back to their warrior duties. They have regular warrior names.
Kit:
Kits are the new-borns of the clan up until the age of six moons when they become apprentices. They aren't allowed out of the camp until they become apprenticed. Their names end in "kit", with the beginning of their name as a nature-themed word.
Elder:
An elder is an older cat that was formerly a warrior of the clan. They spend most of their time in the elders den at the camp, or just outside of the elders den. They are known to tell stories to kits and young apprentices. They have regular warrior names with the exception of changing them sometimes to fit their appearance. One-eye for example is a name that was changed.
